What type of mortgage would you like?
There are two main ways to borrow money for your home, an Interest-only or a Repayment mortgage. For an explanation of each refer to the 'Which mortgage suits me? guide. Please note that if you choose an Interest-only mortgage your monthly payments will be the same regardless of the repayment term.

How much do you want to borrow?
Generally this will be the purchase price of the property plus costs involved in moving, less your deposit.
Over how many years?
Choose how many years to want to take to repay the mortgage. Terms up to 25 years are available.

Where a product fee applies, it will be added to your new mortgage. You can then pay the fee off if you want to, or leave it on your mortgage to spread the cost. If you pay it off within 30 days of the start of your mortgage, no interest will be charged on it. If you leave it on your mortgage, interest will be charged on it as part of your main mortgage. As this will increase your loan amount, it will also affect the monthly payment on the main part of your mortgage.
